Check the calendar and join us at McBride Range #1 on the second Saturday of the month.

CMP rifle matches begin in April and run through October. The April match is a non-sanctioned practice match, and the last match in October is a non-sanctioned fun match to end the year. The May through September matches are sanctioned CMP Games Matches with an opportunity to receive Gold, Silver, or Bronze CMP award pins based on scores.

Match dates for 2026 are April 11, May 9, June 13, July 11, August 8, September 26, and October 10 (the second Saturday of the month with the exception of the September match).  Sign-in before 8:00 am on the day of the match, with shooting starting around 8:30 am.

The Matches are held on Range #1 at the McBride location, and are open to non-members.

We shoot two 35 round matches. The first match will begin at 8:30, the second match will be held at the conclusion of the first match.

Each match will consist of: A 200 yard, 35 round Course A match and a 100 yard 40-50 round M1 Carbine Match.

Rifle classifications for the 200 yard, 35 round  Course A matches may include M1-Garand, 1903 Springfield, Vintage Military, Modern Military, and Unlimited Modern Military.

This course of fire consists of 5 sighters, 10 slow-fire prone, 10 rapid-fire prone, and 10 slow-fire standing.

The Carbine matches will consist of as issued M1-Carbines.

The Carbine course of fire consists of up to 10 sighters, 10 slow-fire prone, 10 rapid-fire prone, 10 rapid-fire sitting, and 10 slow-fire standing.

We still have Lake City M2 ball 30-06 rounds suitable for firing in an M1 Garand or 1903 Springfield rifle for sale by the CMP division. The ammo was made at Lake City around 1968 and still works well. It sells for $1 per round in 20 round boxes or $10 per 8 rounds loaded in USGI clips. Proceeds for the ammo sales help us to fund our electronic target systems for use in the CMP matches.
